Possible new owner of a RTX SE, and Have a few questions

Thanks again everyone.. Just curious what you think of the Nytro in post 14.. Seems to be a very clean sled with low miles for a descent price, no?

Where I am from a 2010 nytro with 3800km's is going for $8500 and one with 12000km is $6800. Another one without mileage listed is also $8500 with a few mods. Local area dictates price

My 2cents. Only mods that are "necessary" are oft relocat, wrp seat, and a good shock rebuild and oilites when a arm bushings are worn. The rest are bonus' and yes help the sled a ton but aren't going to make or break your enjoyment of it

Btw bought my current sled last year for 4200, had titanium header 128 relocate with ice attack track and studs, and 3000ish miles. It was a 09 rtx. Was a great deal tho obviously

I am going to have to try this steering relocate, my factory bar/steering post didn't bother me at all last season. Everyone ranks it very high on the must have mod scale though. My factory seat would be great if it didn't squish down so much when I sit on it, wrp coming for sure next season.

To me, the oft relocate is great if you always stand and ride, but the sitting Position with s stock seat Is poor. The oft relocate is greatly improved when matched with the wrp seat. Feels natural.
There is a 2010 XTX with an MPI supercharger on eBay for $6900. It isn't far from me. Not sure why it hasn't sold. I remember seeing it on Craigslist for almost $9500 last year.

Yes, the nytro is designed more for ditch banging and allows you to stand easily with its rider forward platform. I've ridden many times with Apexes but never rode them. I was having too much fun on my Nytro. The Nytro does require that you involve your body to some degree when going through corners. Try to get a ride on one. Carefully watch existing videos out there and you can see body positioning through corners. Try the search function on this site as there are previous posts comparing the Nytro to the Apex. I really like the HID headlights when riding at night. They are two times brighter than stock and they help you see much better. I intend to keep my Nytro for many more years.

Search around for one with the most mods done that you can find. The mods will not change the price much but will save you from buying them later. Most are not required but make the sled better. Relocater, Trail tank, better skis, Grizz Gussett, help a lot. If sled isnt beat, higher mileage is not a concern. I enjoy my pc5, Excell exhaust and Ulmer clutching. Very nice addition.

I couldn't agree more! The mods cost so much to add, get them already installed and your wallet will thank you!

Ive got mine heavily moded up when I decide to sell it, which wont be for a few years I might put it back to mostly stock and sell the mod parts separately But most people wont do this. Or I might buy another Nytro and switch the mods over. I just bought a new 15 XRS 800 doo and I put the mods on it I took off my 2011 doo that I sold. I will never buy a yamacat! I don't want to be stranded out on the trail alot because of poor cat engineering.
