I do not know if they would hit without the riser but my first thought would be no. The new mounts keep the guards quite tight to the bars and i assume rox would have checked this measurement as the mounts are not for a riser specifically.....
I am not a dealer and do not have any insight into when the mounts will be offered. call rox direct would be best way to find out i assume......

I just checked gain and only see the rev specific mounts and then the universal mounts. These new ones i have are specific to the apex/attak.... I didn t see them on the rox website......
p.s. the universals dont fit very nice from what i hear........

Oh, I see. Thought the universal mount was for apex/attak bars. Thanks for the headsup, I just about ordered a set.

the bars on the attak and apex are so jammed with junk that the new mounts go down past the bend where most mounts just go right next to your stuff on the straight grip part up top.....

I called Rox today. The new mounts that are Apex specific are going to be available Oct 1st. They should cost around $60.00.

I just got this back from Rox sales:
We designed some mounts for the Apex, but recently got news that Yamaha
redesigned the handlebars for the 07 models. We are now on hold to see what
Yamaha is doing- if the mounts we designed don't work for the new models we
will not have these available. We hope to know information within a few
weeks. If you like, you can check back then.

From what I was told the new handlebars that come with the warmer upgrade will be more like the Nytro bars, ie they have a straight zone that allows use of the Yamaha guards. It came from a Yamaha rep, who learned about it with me. But I'm pretty confident that is the case.

These are an awesome product if you are looking for a little extra warmth/wind protection. had no problems with these at all this winter. cheap and ez to install. highly recommend them.
billet mounts are nice, I'd like to get a set of those. are the being produced?
