- 2014 Yamaha Viper LTX SE Hurricane 190hp Turbo.
i came from a 2006 apex to a 2014 viper ltx se. all i can say is i love this sled and will not be going back to a apex!! it has the perfect riding position and the suspension can be adjusted to just about perfect but i will be getting a rear shock re valve this summer just because it is just ok and everyone has had awesome results with a re valve(but the 2015 were supposedly valved better). my dad also has a 2015 stx dx and that thing rides awesome he has no complaints. my dads 2015 also has the mpi trail turbo and it absolutely the most fun sled i have ridden !! i have a hurricane 190 turbo on order for myn tho!!

2006 apex rtx
I own both I find myself taking the 12 apex XTX over the 14 ac 7000lxr. The power of the motor and the power steering is flat out awesome. The handling is comparable between the two machines. The ac definitely has a nicer ride over the apex. Anybody that tells you a viper hangs with a apex is full of it. There is no comparison in the power dept. in the end do what u think is best for you. For me I'll stick with the XTX and my wife can ride the ac.
This is spot on in my opinion.
I put about 1400 miles on my 14 viper rtx this year. I rode it in every condicion imaginable.
