Just thought I'd mention that I was told by a Yamaha shop that the new sleds (Apex & Attack) use a different oil filter than previous sleds.

Thank you. I believe my dealer sold me the wrong one.

Filters
The internals of the filters are exactly the same as the old one. The only differance is that the new filter is 5mm shorter. The old filter will work, but you will not be able to get cap type filter wrenches on the end of the filter. It is possible to get the old filters on/off with a large channel lock wrench.

StrongArm is correct the filter are the same except the -20-00 is 5mm shorter. They have the same filtering capacite.
The spark plugs have also changed for the Apex/Attak's they now use a plug with the cap still on, The same type as the 2smokes. I believe the plug # is CR9EB.
