They compared the new RX-1 and ZR900 and Fusion and MACH Z!

They said the new Mono shock is awsome but now front and rear suspensions dont work together! Front end still gives uneasy fealings into corners!

THey raced all the new sleds UNOFFICALLY and said that the New fusion is SNEEKY fast actually beating the new mach a few times..

The RX-1 and ZR900 swapped wins consistantly!

THey complained that the New mono shock has too much weight transfer with stock settings and sled still has ski lift and push into corners! But said its the BEST suspension yamaha has to date!

It could be that the new fusion is alot better than we all were lead to believe! ALTHOUGH UGLY!!

They also complained that the Precision skis on the new MACH were not aggressive enought have alot of push in corners!!

I hope the simmons I just installed are better than the Doo precisions
As far as the Fusion goes, I saw one up and personal last week and IMHO it's just plain ugly. It reminds me of the old Scorpion whip :ORC

Mighty, the Scorpion Whip was more rounded it was the Sting that Fusion resembles, I had one of each.

Jim

You are correct Jim. But doesn't it kinda resemble it with it's short front end and long #*$&@ :?

I'm not big on what the RAGs say

I thought Maximumsleds review of the 04 rx warrior was right on..

While sometimes the mags praise sleds they normal wouldnt.. I feel that this years mags have been pretty honest to say the least!!

How did the ZR 900 and the RX-1 compare to the Mach Z and the Fusion in a race?
It looks like the RX-1 did pretty good if it was staying with the CAT ;)!

innteresting. how big diffrence was it in sled lengts between the fastest and the slowest.mack z vs rx-1 if enybody nows

If it is SnowTech, then I will listen. Their review for the 2003 RX-1 was spot one when they said everything was good except it felt a little tipsy in the corners.

If they say a little ski lift, then that is O.K. I just don't want a lot of ski lift like the stock 03 before the swaybar, links, and straight rate springs.

I am keen to hear first ride reports from people on this site. ;)! [/b]

THE ZR AND RX according to the mag were slower than the fusion and Mach Z!

The RX and ZR fought for 3rd and 4th spots!

Are these stock sleds...I'm a little surprised the RX would keep up with the Cat if it was stock....

Yes... You also got to figure im sure they all had no studs and were not clutched and the new 05 rx has alot better weight transfer than before making for better traction!

the fusions are coming in with 1 1/4 tracks so they will be quick out of the hole for sure, top end speed will suffer, starting problems also with the cleanfire system and its not even cold yet here in northern maine,no one has any machz's yet, supposedly shipping this week or next so time will tell on them, hope this years zr900 is better than last years cause they were pigs, radar runs dec 5 or 12 depending on ice condition, will let you know how the sleds make out here in northern maine

New 05' RX-1

We're planning a trip to Northern Wisconsin this weekend to pop the "rose" on both my new Rx-1 and my buddy's 05 RX-Warrior. I had Ohlins installed since I heard some good things about them and to possibly mitigate the tippy feeling that I read about. Do you guys know much about Ohlins and was this a wise decision? Before you say they were too much money I know that, but I love this sport and I work hard so just the facts guys; I trust your opionions!!!
