Well I've been researching sleds and whatnot for the last couple months and have decided to purchase a nytro. I went looking today and found an 2009 nytro rtx with 1600 miles. The dealer is asking 7995. I do believe that is a little steep. The sled is in mint condition. I was looking for some input on what people think I should offer for the sled. I was thinking about offering $7500. The sled is bone stock. Although the one thing I did notice was the windshield didn't seem to be stock but I could be mistaken. It was not a see through windshield but was yamaha and was very low but was colored blue.

That would be the stock windy I believe. The 2009 RTX's come with a short blue windshield that says Yamaha on it. I'm not sure on the price though because these 4-strokes can really be spendy to purchase but you definitely get what you pay for.

sounds good. I also asked what the difference was between a xtx, rtx and a nytro and was told the the nytro has the coilover shocks. the rtx is the same thing except it has the adjustable gas shocks. and the xtx has the longer track?

here are some pictures i took.

That's not just an RTX. It's an RTX SE. That is the stock shield.

Great sled

yup XTX is a 144" track

yep RTX SE the fox resevoir shocks give it away. That looks in great shape. I'd try to get it out the door for 7400, but it is prime sled season so he may not move much especially on the se model. Just my opinion but save some money for different ski's($250-400), I think the stock ski's are junk. The handling will be improved a ton. Do a search on here you'll find tons of info. Oh yeah, Welcome to the sport, you'll be as addicted as the rest of us soon. Nice choice on sled too. Good luck with your purchase.

def not the stock side panels. id take em off and have a good look in there to see if it looks like it was rolled or put on its side. May have just been cuz someone liked the look of them better. They only say rtx, dont the se's say rtx se on em???

I'll definitely ask him about the panels, planning on going in there today to make an offer. Anything specific to look for while the panels are off of it?

Make shure the front spindles look the same on both sides. If the subframe is tweaked you will be able to tell.Usually one spindle will be laid back farther then the other side.

RTX SE

Looks like Waldoch motorsports...Thier prices always seemed a little high for me, but their service department is top notch. I'd definately inquire about the side panels...I too have a 2009 RTX SE, it's a sweet sled...

Yeah it has a taller riser on it, and also those are not the stock handgrips either, look like RSI grips, or the "updated" yamaha kit they were selling.

Price is a little high, but if it had extended warranty then its a little better.

It already has the reinforcement bracket on the tunnel, so thats good.

FIRST thing if you buy it, get some guards on those Fox Float shocks. Don't want to damage those shafts.

Then revalve the rear shocks. Makes a HUGE difference.
