Sounds like fun day if I knew I would have came down I was up in Sudbury playing on Whitson Lake. On a side note 21/41 gear is good for 120 on a stock sled and 126 on a tuned sled, fact.

I am not a Ski Doo guy but I do currently own a Renegade 850. I would be on a Sidewinder right now if it were not for the deal that I could not pass up on for this 850. All that aside, I still consider myself a Yamaha guy and will gladly be back on one if I find the right deal on a Sidewinder when it is time to trade. I must say that I am not embarrassed by my Renegade 850 as it is a blast to ride and I do not have the un reasonable expectation that it will compete with a 204hp stock Sidewinder. Yamaha will always be my #1 choice all things considered but I am not going to put out the ludicrous money a current model year Sidewinder demands but certainly would be on one right now if I had found a similar deal. My hope is 2020 brings us a 2S 850 to compete with the Doo and Poo. I will agree with you on the "Go Yamaha" comment!
No offense....just commenting on the shootout, as all I've heard for years is how heavy and slow 4 strokes are, especially in short drags.
Ski doo makes a good sled.
And to my surprise, so does Cat (with a Yammy under the hood of course!)

We had a good day on the lake. The ice was soft(temp was 4c today) and there was 3-4 inches of wet snow on the ice.
My srx is bone stock and we got 115mph in 1/4 mile. Muskoka sidewinder has a video of some runs including my 115mph. I'll also post all the speeds of the sleds today.
All runs were 1/4 mile on a radar gun for the doubters!
Bone stock;
2019 sidewinder srx 115mph 8750rpm
2019 sidewinder ltx-le 107mph 8500rpm
2018 skidoo blizzard 850 98mph idk rpm's
Boosted;
2019 sidewinder srx hurricane 290hp 123mph 8800rpm
2019 sidewinder srx hurricane 290hp 122mph 8800rpm
2019 sidewinder srx turbo dynamics 260hp 119mph 8400rpm(weight were for 330 kit)
2018 sidewinder rtx turbo dynamics 330hp 123mph 8900rpm
2016 zr9000 turbo dynamics 270hp 113mph idk rpm's
2103 zr9000 turbo dynamics 300hp 121mph idk rpm's
Everyone had a good time and we're looking forward to good clean ice!
first...nice run on that stocker...
second....that other srx had to be real heavy on weights....pick up 5-600 rpms and that would have been money!?
what program is this 330HP ?

Maybe....I believe many on this site could, so there's no doubt Yamaha could, if they choose to do so.Someday Yamaha will make a chassis, maybe!
There's really no mystery to what works and what doesnt anymore....everything is so similar these days, like cars. To me, the hands down 'new' idea is that alpha suspension! Add a gyroscope to lean the sled into a corner and....LOL!

Why do some people have to turn this post into if and when Yamaha is building or coming out with a new chassis isn't there enough of them already, kinda getting old.
