I just picked up a low milage apex monoshock suspension to install in my 03 rx1. :-o I am removing the edge suspension after about 7500 miles I was getting tired of taking it out every week to fix the cracks in the rails. :o| Last summer when I went thru it I found 8 cracks in the w arm and I plated that and it held up after that but then the rails started cracking and it was just getting old fixing it all the time ,it did ride nice though and transfered great. I hope the mono skid holds up I'm thinking about reinforcing the w arm before I install it to avoid any problems this winter.

could ya find me a mono shock too please! Mt 07 is night and day better the no-action 03, rx-1 good luck Honk

Good luck I think you will find they are not as tough as the edge. What type of riding do you do? I love mine and took it over 500 miles of cornfields and broke a lot of other suspension peices but the edge held up fine. the monoshock is probabaly the best suspension out there for weight, transfer, etc. Just too many issues I'm waiting to get fixed before I get into one and that may be in a new sled.

BTW how many miles do you have on the RX?

I have 15500 miles on it. I was thinking of buying another edge skid for parts but towards the end of winter with having to take it out every week to weld the rails it got old quickly and on 200 -300 mile trips I needed somthing more dependable.I picked this one up for about $500.00 so I figured I could give it a try. I do plan on beefing up the w arm before it goes in though. If it doesn't work out I can always go back to the edge they are alot easier to come by I couldn't pass this one up though.

Just make sure you calibrate it to your weight and riding style,I'd call Pioneer Performance and talk to Bruce he'll set you up...spring & valving.

I love mine once you set her up properly...I've had no problems, and the other thing don't run the original IDLER wheels, I've installed '04 w/larger 6205 bearings that you can replace...you'll have to machine the rear inner mounts to line up in centre of cogs properly on the 121"/shorty.
