I got an 05 RS Vector the end of last season for the wife to compliment my 05 Warrior. I have really gotten into the sled this fall and it was in pretty rough shape. I cleaned the carbs/clutches and went thru the front suspension replaced most of the bushings. I can see a bunch of rust on the driveshaft bearing so I will be replacing that as well.
Last year the rear suspension got stuck fully compressed. When I took apart the skid I found numerous grease zerks that are damaged as well as bushings that are severly worn. The rear shock has a bent shaft. Are there any aftermarket replacements for this shock?
When I took out the shock bolt I relieved the spring pressure from the 2 coil springs in the back. Any suggestions on how to put this back together?
Also found numerous bogie wheels with bad bearings. Are these the same 130mm wheels as the RX1's, and are you guys going with the same 135mm wheels that the RX1's use to maximize slider wear?
Any other suggestions for this sled? I also plan on taking a look at the donuts to see if they are still there. Thanks for the help!

Check the oil tank for a crack on the lower support(to prevent this add a large bead of RTV sealant to the flange of the tank where the support bolt is located). Also check under the clutches because the coolant hose will chaff against the lower belt guard(add a bit of plastic hose over it). Finally take the plate off the bottom of the belly pan and look up underneath with a flashlight behind the engine. You will see a battery cable that is rubbing against the rear cooler.Cover this with a piece of rubber hose(split in half)so it won,t rub into the cooler or short out the electrical system. This may sound like alot of problems but remember, which brand of sled can reach 40000 miles on the same engine?Have fun and good luck.

The Ohlin's would be the front shock on the skid? Is there any aftermarket or upgrade to the rear shock/dampener?
How is the bead of silicone preventing cracks on the oil tank? Which Flange, the one at the top with the 2 holes or the single mount on the bottom? Funny we rode with an 05 Vector that cracked the oil tank last year! Wish I would have known about this. My Warrior has the same oil tank, do these have the same issue?
