New (to me) apex!

Alright sounds. Good. The only problem is with my stock skis are seems there they don't grab but there is tons of carbide under them. Witch is weird. So I think I need to adjust my suspension a bit due to the previous owner being 160 and me 230 lol

Do you have light ski pressure? Maybe the rear skid was adjusted for less ski pressure hence better weight transfer. I believe mine is in the stock position and I need to slightly add some weight transfer being I thing my ski pressure is too strong.

Ya that's what I'm thinking where do I adjust that? Is that located on the limiter strap?

Ok and just tighten it to help with traction on the skis?
Its called a transfer rod,it transfers weight off or on the skis as it is adjusted, you have a tool in your pouch that has hash marks on it,measure from the outter most part of the nut for max or min transfer, the longer the rod the more transfer you will have because it will allow the rear of the skid to slam back more causing ski lift in the front and a softer ride,if you take transfer out it allows the skis to have more bite but lets the back end slide out more for better handling and worse ride.

Mtn skis will help the front end in two ways. First it helps with flotation in the deeper snow and second the deeper keel helps in the corners. The best way I have found to make the sled corner well and not dart is to use Snowtrackers.
At 240 I would suggest a Big Boy spring and a revalve. Set your transfer towards minimum and the limiter straps in the second hole from the top (factory position). Jack the front of the sled so the skis don't touch and take out the preload in the front springs. Loosen the jam nuts until the springs are loose and then put one turn into them to keep them from rattling.

Where in MB are you??

Hey man right on! Ya I agree with u there.

Rodeo1st and Quince also check your limiter strap setting a lot of people shorten it by one hole from stock setting which puts a lot of weight on the skis,

The transfer rod and limiter strap setting make a huge difference when you play with them both the front end and the rear, adjust one thing at a time and take it for a ride to see how it reacts...

Alright thanks! Im going to have a look soon when she warms up a tad bit

Check to see if your skis are shimmed. This is an easy, cheap improvement to handling. You add a 3/16 to 3/8 thick piece of material(conveyor belting) under the heel of the rubber pad that sits in your ski, and it helps to elevate the tips. If you need more info on this, check the FAQ section under Skis, for How to Shim your Skis.
