So, i'm looking for a new track, and I don't want to spend much.
I've seen some 162" challenger lite take offs from M8's and M1000's, how does this stack up against the Maverick?

ditto, only issue is your giving up an inch of width but if you're good with that then should be good...especially if it's 2.25" lug height it'll be a big improvement.

depends..
if you do a fair bit of trail rideing..then you should stick to the maverik..its a great all around track..the rest are a little too stiff for trails....feels like a trtacktor tirer..the cat tracks are great going up hill...but they such when you go to stop...but why stop when going up the hill ,,lol..this track thing has been done to death..on snowest...go there and go to search....they have tons of threads on the pros and cons of mountain tracks.

Have you tried turning your Maverick around? Has worked well for me for the last season and a half.

I flipped mine and it got so soft the other direction that after a while it was the same again.
The Narrower track actually makes the apex much more fun to ride you will not miss that 1" no mater what the girls say.

Re: depends..
Actually if you read snowest you would find out that all the Arctic Cat riders hate the challenger lite, that's why they sell for $200.
As far as why I want a new track, I would like to reduce shoveling....especially on the flat....I could care less about how it rides on trail.
Also, the track is likely just an interim thing until this summer, then I will be long tracking the Phazer with a 162", I think the challenger lite would be perfect for that.
The maverick is still in decent shape, so i'm hoping to get at least $200 for it, so it's probably a fairly even swap $$$ wise.

Keep the Maverick track and cut it down to 14 wide for the Phazer.
The super soft paddles work perfect with the 80 HP motor.
I build my girlfriends up with my old mav and it works totaly awsome.
The phazer would have difficulty pulling a harder paddle in a 162.
