I would definately be interested :winter:

we usually have ty rides in munising and then scattered others. when the season gets closer you can usually find people to hook up with and ride, just look in the ty rides section of the website.

Its soo easy to make a pefect sled, mine is 100% perfect for my needs. I feaking love it, had to pry me off with a pry bar this winter!
I kinda feel the same way about my Polaris. Dont get me wrong, I would have much preferred a SXr 600 over the '01 Polaris 600 XC SP that I currently have, but thats what I ended up with and thats all I can afford for now, so I made the best of it.
My sled has a 4 1/2" articulating bar riser, Pro-X seat (about 2" taller than the stock seat) and its clutched for quick acceleration. The trails I ride on are tight, twisty and often pretty rough, so its pretty much the perfect setup for the kind of riding I do.
Honestly, the only thing stopping my sled from being perfect is the fact that its not a Yamaha. :yam:

Welcome to the site!

My brother has an 06 Attak with over 10,000 miles on it.

Depending on snow conditions he averages between 14 - 17 mpg.

Once you get some seat time, you should become very comfortable with Yamaha motors reliability.

They are second to none.

All the best in whatever model you choose.

:4STroke: ;)!

Hondo, with mileage like you put on that rs venture of yours I don't think anyone can argue about reliability.

Have you had to replace anything major in that many miles?

Just to be on the safe side, bearings need to be checked and changed between 6,000 - 8,000 miles.

Bearings: Chain-case upper and lower, jackshaft and lower drive as well as idler wheels. For me this is all preventative maintenance so I didn't get stuck out in the bush.

The skid with some major mileage on it required a fair amount of attention.

Over all, I was very happy with the performance of the sled throughout this 14,633 mile season.

The motor is the original factory engine. A valve inspection was performed at 22,000 plus miles. There are 4 valves per cylinder (12 total) on the Genesis 120 (3) cylinder engine. Only 3 valves were slightly out of spec tolerance and required the thinest shim available. The other valves were perfect. Cam lobes, and timing chain are all original.

Pretty amazing.

I need to clean up this thread. Here is four years of documentation.

Hope this helps! ;)!
