I just got a call from one of my old riding buddies from back east and he is headed this way with his local dealer (as an employee) to demo the new 2007 lineup. this is taking place the weekend Sun & Mon 18th & 19th of Feb in Minneapolis. It is dealer only and by invite only. He is trying to get me added to the list. I will see what info I can get and post as soon as possible.

Worst riding winter in memory so far. What is frustrating is that we had 90 inches of snow between Thanksgiving and Dec 20th and then the quick melt came. 418 miles of crappy riding and nothing but green the last 2 weeks in Western NY. I already had a trip planned to Maine Feb 18th but with this crap weather I had to add a last minute trip to Quebec FEB 1-6 just to ride. The only positive note for us lake effect snow belt people is that Lake Erie is wide open and 6 degrees warmer than normal. All we need is some cold Canadian air to blow over. Come on you Canucks! Send us some!

I just got back from Int'l Falls. Contrary to the weather teams on our metro channels, they have plenty if your looking for trail/lake riding. I got up there last Friday evening and left Monday morning. 574 miles we put on. The groomers are running Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. If you can, head North. I was PLEASANTLY surprised as was our whole group of 12 guys. Had a blast. Let me know if you want some names of places to stay.
