Nice read on 2018 LTX-LE 50th.

You left out the fact he also ordered an 850 ;) keep the info straight Joe :D
Well at least you didn't buy a cow like I did. I have no idea why you would want to buy a Polaris 800 when you have the best most fun sled ever built in the 850. Heck you even said you would rather buy and ride an 850 than ride a free turbo. It's funny how when I comment about anything on Doo Talk guys like you feel the need to throw in a few jabs at the Sidewinder. Then everybody thinks I start SW threads when in fact I have nothing to do with it.

Only two sleds I'd ride... the procross yam mill turbo... or the doo etec...

Unlike yourself I have given "almost" all of them a go. You know where we ride, you know the terrain. Are you familiar with the switchback Assault? You realize its intended purpose vs the 850 I have on order correct? 850 is for the trail SBA is for the back country ;) Unfortunately for me I don't see Doo having the back country machine I specifically want so I thought heck might as well try one of the Poo's. If its junk down the road it goes plain and simple not too hard to follow I hope.

Honestly Jamie I don't care what you ride.

I'm a convert (17 Renegade 850). Partly because the Doo dealer blew it, partly because the 18 Sidewinder RTX LE is so gorgeous and mostly because my Yamaha dealer has been awesome to work with. He gave me his demo 17 Sidewinder LTX DX for a day. On another day ride, one of my buddies on his 17 Sidewinder 137 left me on my 17 Renegade in a cloud of snow dust going across a lake. I thought I was going great as I had him out of the gate for a few hundred feet. Then he just grinned and waved as he blew past me. This year will be a different story....

As a kid (1972), my dad had a white, red and black Yamaha 340. Just looking at pics of my 18 Sidewinder brings back the memories.

Sidewinder=$16,000
850 DOO =$15,000
POO =$14,000
Remembering your dad in 1972=PRICELESS

Now i wanna cry! Just looked at my dad in old snowmobile pics with jet black hair, mustache, muscles a young OCD son. Now white hair, mustache that's mostly nose hair, limps a lot & averages .5 miles a year....i guess we all get old....thanks for the memories Finesy

Boy, I wish I had that kind of Jing$$$$$

1 I wish i went with the 129''

2. I would have bought a 1200 if they put 3 injectors on it to give me 150hp

3. I can't FREAKIN' wait for snow

Why the 129? I'm considering but not sure!

129 transfers weight better & actually gets more traction. At least for me being 170lbs
