Has anyone installed a taller windshield on there Nitro and if you have could you post some pics to show how it looks . I was looking in the book at taller windshields and they dont show them on the machine so you cant tell what they look like .

This is the medium sized windshield.

I want the Wite one that were on the racesleds last year... That one is NICE!

And should look sweet with my White skidplate...

I am keeping the 'bug-deflector' chrome shield on my RTX until I ride it at least once. If it doesn't work, I am going to go with the clear one that comes on the standard.

Thanks guys I will probably ride mine first to I have the RTX that has really no wind shield at all . My F-8 sno-pro has the low windshield and it didnt offer alot of wind protection either . I think the mid height windshield looks pretty good on the Nitro though .

Tomorrow I'll update this. The dealer just called and the lowers for the mid windshield are in now. I'll get a new picture when I throw them on.

I plan on swapping the mid with deflectors on and off for the stock one as warranted. It is small enough to lug around in the truck or to the cottage just to have it for those warm days and it only takes a second to swap em out.

I have the tallest offered.......I was worried that it would look like POS.....its fine, could be bigger actually.
....I'm done with being cold. I do 2-300 km days and when the sun goes down that short ws is goona be cold.

I'll take a picture tonight.

nice sleds. those dont look bad at all. nice helmet too...lol i ride with a modular. dont those open face helmets get cold?

The tall windshield doesnt look to bad . What does the the deflectors hook to other then the windshield ?

Thank you!
That was my 3 year old Ski-doo sno-x helmet... (it has since been retired now that my Klim F4 helmet is in!

Cold is relitive, notice in the pic my coat is unzipped and I have taken off my gloves (I always ride in thin mechanics gloves and the hand warmers are just fine for me)... I'm NOT a good judge to what is cold or not for others!!

The wind deflecters attact to the windshields and the lower dzus fitting of the nose cowling. They also help with making your windshields more sturdy/stable at high speeds!

Here are some more pictures with the mid windshield with deflectors added.

The plastic washers that came with the deflectors for the dzus fastener are useless. I couldn't get them to catch and turn with these plastic washers and I cringed at the thought of trying to catch them on the trail every time the cowl comes off or forgetting and watching as the unretained fastener flies off into the snow.

What hand deflectors are those and how thick are the mounting brakcets? With a mountain grab bar and left hand throttle there isn't much room left for me to mount hand guards.
