No starting the sled after several tries. Hooked up a spare ATV battery and could get it to turn over faster, but not fast enough. Thinking about trying a car battery next.
It still has the stock battery from 08 so could it be time for a new battery? Temperatures overnight have been about 0 or less with windchill. Sled is left outside, undercover, on trailer. Wouldn't be a problem if the sled had pullstart. Could it also be the starter relay? have read about problems with them. Any help appreciated.

If its turning over the starter relay is fine. Cranking slow is a weak battery. I would replace it. Batteries die for a reason. Unless it was sitting for a long time you maybe able to recharge it. But would yoh trust it out on the trail.

Thanks for the help. Will jump it with a car battery and let it idle to let the battery charge a little and see if it does it again after sitting overnight.

run a battery charger overnight, idling for a few minutes wont help much and if the battery is fine but sits out in the cold with no charge you might ruin it

True that, most charging sytems are battery maintainers not really meant to run all the electronics and charge a dead battery. Will work but takes long time to fully charge and to get the amps back up

Got it running. Went out a couple hours later and thought before i try to jump it i'll try it one more time and it turned over. No snow on the trails right now so will try the sled every now and again around the house to see if it still starts up without any troubles.
