I have a 2005 rx1 that is topping out at 85mph.Motor is running good with a brand new belt any help would be great.

rpms are at about 8500-8700

how many miles and is it stock??
You need to get the clutch calibration straightened out! It should be running 10,200-10,500 rpm's at full throttle!

check to make sure your choke is fully off,check you spark plug caps and see if they wiggle,i just had a problem and those were the two problems,good luck,

Another thing to check is that ALL 4 rubber boots are seated fully and properly over your carbs. Easiest way to check is take the lid off the airbox and feel inside the throats.

That's no 2-smoke. Those "cleaned" clutches go back together right? Thats off by 2000 rpm.
Now imagine a 2-smoke running 2000 rpm off the target... might have a hard time climbing a speed bump.
