Any trails open yet?? Want to take a ride the week before Christmas - anyone have a sense as to what area in Northern Ontario might be open. Perhaps Northern Quebec is a better bet.

Comments/thoughts....

From what I hear, southwestern Ontario is the place to be as they just got hammered. Seems like our area is taking a bit longer this year.

If you read the letter posted on the OFSC site they say that regardless of the amount of snow we have now the trails won't open until around Christmas. I guess there are a lot of other factors to consider but it sure is hard seeing all that snow, hearing that the ski hills are opening and still having to wait a few weeks for our sport.

Due to the fact, lakes and rivers, swamps, streams are all unsafe..the clubs would be held responcible for the safety of the riders on their trails.some might open, but for sure they will be limited...So..one more time around the house. ;)! .lol..

I took a walk on the local trails to check ice before it snows on them today so i know for when i go to clean em, i was punching through with my feet...

- District 8 (Barrie/Collingwood) is listed as "limited" on the OFSC website.

- Hali Forest opened today too.
- They're saying that they've got a little over 100kms and grooming more everyday!

- Headin' there mid-week.

Districk 17 i think it is has like 5km's "open"
