Pretty cool new Iphone map app for those that ride in Ontario and have an Iphone.
Search iSnowmobile in app store and will cost a couple bucks, but seems worth it if your in an area with cell service to download the data while riding. I don't think theirs a way to download map into phone though. Shows your location, all trails, and the trail status (open/closed/limited etc..)
Also, for those that travel in the northern part of Ontario, cell HSPA coverage is getting deployed throughout the north if your on the Rogers/Tbaytel network. Some of the northern communities have HSPA just turned on as of resent. Those on At&T service south of border will be able to roam on this network.

It's a start
I have the new Ontario Map App on my iPhone and it is a very, very, early product.
It's slow, the maps are ok but the major trails are poorly marked, and the minor trails MIA. The icon for your location is an idiotic snowmobile (vs the established standard blue pulsating dot ), there are no fuel or hotels (yet) and there is banner advertising which is very annoying and takes up space. It doesn't leave a track log (bread crumb) either, which is sort of a must on all other GPS devices and other iphone GPS apps.
My guess is they are looking for the hotel/gas information to somehow be a revenue stream and thus haven't loaded the information. Stupid.
Still................ it's a start and not a bad one, as long as they quickly develop it and add in the changes. If you are a iphone app user you know app upgrading is a given and providers should never stop moving forward.
I know of 2 people in need of new phones that have gone iphone 4 BECAUSE OF THIS APP ALONE. Phew.

Re: It's a start
Agree there is room for improvement, which I'm sure will be out soon. The information such as trail conditions is only as good as the person inputing the info so I'm curios to see how it will develop as the season hits.
Many other maps on iphone 4 that record your tracking and other apps that show gas, hotels etc. But yes, would be nice to have all on this OFSC app and also the ability to save map on the phone's memory in case of no cell signal. Time will tell I guess
