For using the bottle on a car we were always taught to use colder spark plugs, never use a shot more than 50% of the OEM engine HP for a shot. If you can get a wet kit, use that or jet it really rich. Only spray at higher rpm under full engine load otherwise you can get pooling. If you use a larger shot it might be worth seeing how you can retard your timing a bit. Lots of things to look into.

Go for it. I'll wait for the why did my pistons melt thread.
Nitrous requires a way to monitor detonation. How you gonna do that? Or you gonna run C16 all the time? $15-20/gal.... have fun.
How are you gonna retard the timing for spray? No knock sensor, so the CPU isn't gonna know if detonation is occuring.
What about jetting? Rich for spray days, stock jetting on no spray days?
If I sound negative, it's because I am. You're asking for big trouble. If it's not a drag sled, why not just be happy with it the way it is. That or buy a faster machine (like an Apex) The money you'll waste on parts, the headaches, and then broken engine guts.... you could have traded the Nytro for a faster stock sled.

Well said CATman!
I have ran nitrous on many sleds from small shots to 100hp+.
You must run cr10ek plugs which are 2 sizes colder and they make slightly more power then the stock plugs on motor.
Do some research on how to read plugs. Most of my friends run a/f guages by I been tuning long enough Im comfortable with the plugs.
Being a novice and to safe I would go with the holtzman kit which Straightline performance bought them out a few years ago.
There kit comes with a 15gram nozzle which is about 30-45hp.You can run that on premium pump gas with the colder plugs if tuned right.
I would throw a little 110 in there until you get the hang of things. There kit is very simple.
My 2005 vector was as fast as an apex with no nitrous.

Again, I'll wait for the broken parts thread.
Everything I posted was truth & facts regarding nitrous. Obviously you don't know diddly dick about it, otherwise you wouldn't be asking about it.

Easy there Catman.
Ryan (pro116) REALLY knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to take his advice for a split second. You might want to do some digging in regards to his tuning ability/experience.

My whole point is tuning knowledge is huge with any power adder. And if you don't know what you're doing, things go bad.... fast.
I post dead on facts, & get called useless. I will stick to my guns because I know I'm correct. Again, I'll wait for the melted piston or blown headgasket thread.

You have had some good posts over the years with valuable info. Thank you for the contribution to this fantastic site. This thread maybe not so much. My point is that you need to choose "tech" advice on the Internet very carefully. Pro116 is someone you should not be afraid to listen to. That was the "ONLY" point I was trying to make.
I have no experience personally running NOS, therefore will offer no opinion on setup or longevity.

when i need some advice on drinking beer or doing diesel burnouts ill come talk to you.
the fact you #*$&@ on me with absolutely no reason to makes your post worthless. at what point did i say i was GOING to do anything? i was asking about the state it was in as everything else was almost a decade old.
ps ive seen 30 year old sleds run on nitrous so dont sit there and try to convince everyone otherwise, you just assume im gonna duct tape a bottle on the side of the sled and give a full 100 shot from 0mph.
lmfao weak buddy
