found out yesterday that this ER sucks in deep snow. ws riding w/ a guy w/ a 04' warrior and he had the c&a skis on and had no problem in his handling or going thru the 3' plus snow. it was the 136" track though. he wanted me to switch skis w/ him to try because i told him i hated my sled. maybe i should have lol.

I'm taking my Apex out to West Yellowstone in a couple of weeks. Lot's of deep-snow opportunities, but a lot of trail riding too. My Vector did well out there last year in the big fields, but there wasn't a lot of fresh snow. I did order a set of Powderhounds for the Apex, so we'll see if that will keep the thing from getting buried too much. I'm fully prepared to rent a Summit if I need to.

we got alot of deep power this(first time in years) so it wouldnt be worth changing the track, but i have a new repect for the long tracks and good they are.

It was the skis more than anything. 7 inches of track in loose powder doesn't make that much difference. Assuming his susp. and track are still stock. I put the USI's on my 121 and i'm no longer afraid to go off trail. I could even stop in 2 feet of unpacked snow and take off no problem. Just need to keep the sled form having to push its weight through the snow much better pushing over the snow.
