Well found out my secondary is toast so my sled must have been down on power. My father in-law has an 04 warrior parts sled, so taking the secondary off that. I'll be up and running soon and will let you know if this takes care of my problems.

I guess the good thing is you found the problem... too bad on the secondary. What's wrong with it?
And thanks for the advice fellas. Going out to clean the primary and take her for a spin... btw, love having this snow on the ground in Ohio. Makes for test and tune a lot easier than waiting to get to the trails after a 6 hour drive.

2 of 3 shoe ramps / buttons were missing and caused damage to the sheave. Must have happened at the end of last season. Was just going to install new ones but when I took a closer look, there is 2 cracks and a chunk missing where the shoe ramps go. Oh well, can't wait to swap it out and go riding. Trails up here are sweet!!!

Just an update if somebody else is searching and finds this thread... Cleaned my primary clutches - tons of belt dust although rollers were free. Checked the coils for arcing and found No. 4 pretty bad but couldn't see arcing on the other three cylinders.
The result: Got all the power back and now revs out to 8500rpm. Guess I'll keep digging... and yes, carbs are next on the list as well.

Yep, 8500 is it, but an improvement over the 8000 and sluggish bottom end I had yesterday! I'll get her back to health... one thing at a time.

Mighty, do you think it as good or better than the ECP?
