Nytro 180 vs arctic cat turbo

A full exhaust on a cat is worth just over 20 up with no other mods.
My wifes nitro 180 sc beat lots of stock cats in 1000ft in northern wi.

belts or hyfax... who's counting!

You must be talking about my Nytro before I put on the Excell wheels and 2 belts in less than 1,500 miles...

I love how that sled looks! So tough looking! Are you going to put the pump gas hyjacker setup in there and exhaust? Its amazing what HP gains you can get with a few simple mods on these. Fyi if you didn't know there is a after market beefier drive setup that matches the HP gains for the controller. Good luck and keep us posted

Going to keep it stock this season. Over the summer I will likely make some "adjustments". Thanks for the + feedback. I will gave an honest report after more miles are put on.

Goto ask, what wheels are those under the sled.. I have the ones that go under the skis but that looks way smarter as you unload the shocks!

I believe that's just a standard sledlift. There should be a handle running back the length of the sled on the other side.

I tried one of these out at a powersports show. You could hold the whole sled up easily with 2 fingers. Balanced great, easy to move. I will own one eventually.

It is a EZ-Pro Sled Scoot. They were made in NE WI but the owner sold his business last Fall. Sorry for the looooooong delay on this!

Here is an end of season update... The reason the sled was a dog was the tubro was not hooked up. For the 1st 510 miles I road it with the max speed of 82 MPH and 6,850 RPM's. Somehow the 3" turbo tube was disconnected???
After the turbo was hooked-up it started blowing belts! 3 belts in less than 1,300 miles. The last ride on the evening of 3-7-13 caused the left side to start on fire. It is at the dealer now and AC is aware of the issue.
Besides from the belt issue and turbo not being hooked up I love the ride and power of the turbo. It had a little less torque than my nytro but the top-end power/speed was better on the AC. The handwarmers worked and the heated seat was nice to have on cold days.
The only other issue is it did have two boggie wheels that broke after 1,100 miles. This was not AC fault since my studs backed out and the heads caused the wheels to fail. I would NOT use the Stud Boy once piece plastic backer and nut again!

Seen this exact race two weekends ago in the U.P. - the only difference was the Cat had a Boondocker control box on it that enabled the owner to adjust the boost - the first race, the Cat had the boost cranked up to 14 lbs (what the owner said) - the Nytro got the jump and they run virturually identical - second race, the Cat had the boost cranked up to 16 lbs (again, what the owner said) - this time the Cat got the jump and they ran identical again - both races were not from a standing start and was down a "not so smooth" trail - they were headed out to four corners (H58 north) and the Cat blew a belt (again, what the owner said) - we never heard the Cat run again, so we don't know if it was just the belt - supposedly with the Boondocker, the boost can be cranked all the way up to 18 lbs - suppose to start using race fuel at 16 lbs and no one seen the owner put in any fuel additive - so, we don't know - was not that impressed with the Cat - without the Boondocker, I wouldn't think it would even be a contest - Ulmer set up the Nytro - it had the original belt with 3000 miles and it was bad #*$&@ - top end numbers on a smooth trail in the 120's - speedo checked with a GPS and is within 2 mph - looked like fun!!!

Just picked up a 2013 nytro left with an mpi 180 kit.sled is unstudded with an inch and three quater track,my rival has a 2013 cat with all that $ can buy, full exaust, studs,td 3 stage with anti lag, custom clutching and a variety of spare belts
Race 1 and 2 were ski to ski in 500 from start to finish
Race 3 and 4 was the cat buy at least 1 in 500 and it was all in the first 50 feet

he says he was on the 220 setting the whole time but i cant help but think how easy it is to turn the dial to 250 when i have a minimum of 40 less hp and $5k less invested.
So i am pretty happy and convinced that with a little clutch tuning and a few studs i may just hurt his feelings
