I think the point he was getting at is if you already have a richer map installed because of the exhaust, there isn't that big a difference in mixture with the intake modified, and it should be safe to run that way, as confirmed by excell, (mfg of the exhaust)
To spend 300$ on an auto tune module for 1hp at that point isn't worth it for the majority of riders.
You may think it's worth it, and who am I to argue with you about what you do on your sled, But I personally can't feel a 0.5% power increase. And if it's safe to use it that way, then that's all I wanted to know.

dont get me wrong you wont gain a significan hp but you will gain trottle response and a more liniar torque curve
