What is Yamaha thinking for 2013. They have a new front end and larger fuel tank for the nytro that they sell to the crosscountry racers. If they wanted to sell sleds they would have produced this sled. anyone that has a current Nytro isnt going to buy a new one. And With all bad rap the current Nytro gets with its handling and subframe problems I dont see people that don't have nytros buying one.

Perhaps you want to try out some of the other brands for a season and see how satisfied you are.. I did and will be back on my XTX, after 5,000 miles of riding Quebec and Tug Hill absolutely no problems with subframe unless you're pulling stumps out with your skis. As for handling, Hygear triples in front with rear suspension adjustment take care of the problems.

With the year we just had the dealers are sitting on a lot of leftovers. Yamaha is smart to keep the new sled basically the same because buyers will buy the leftovers instead. If they introduced new inovations they would be stuck with all the unsold leftovers.
I dont hate mine by no means thanks to the aftermarket. I think they could sell them like I have mine set up is all but they keep selling mediocre sleds.

I passed 10'000 kms on my 2008 Nytro turbo today.
Never had any problems in those 10k traveled kms. Nothing at all.
Rode with two brand new cats. Ignition keys would not work, fuel pump started bogging, they barely made it back home.
I'll take those extra pounds of quality - any day.

Well I certainly wouldn't be replacing my 2009 Nytro with a 2013, that's for sure. I can understand Yamaha not making any radical changes, but they really should at least be fixing the obvious stuff. The Nytro is still a very nice sled, and with a few minor tweaks Yamaha could have a much nicer unit while maintaining their profit margin.
But hey, at least they've finally fixed the stupid handwarmer switch gear that I've been cursing on for the last four years.

No new Nytro for me. I already have one that is far better then the new one. After I put $1200.00 into it of course..lol.
2013
I do have an 2011 800 etec xrs ski doo that I have put 5500mi on. I ride tug hill and a few days in quebec. The chassis of the ski doo is hands down better than a nytro. I have a 2010 RTX se that I have put thousands of dollars into trying to make it work for the way I ride. I also have an 06 apex with 12000mi that I am more than pleased with for smooth trails.
I like Yamaha I just wish they would build a better stand up rough trail sled that can go around a corner at speed. sorry for bringing this up again I have not been on the board for awile because I was disapointed with what yamaha is producing for 2013. Maybe Yamaha shouldnt produce any nytros for 2013 as to sell all the left overs and then they can come out with something new for 2014.

Well the lack of changes from Yamaha has made me switch brands after 13 years on diffrent Yamaha sleds. Traded my XTX-12 for a Pro RMK 600. Wanted something new. Hopefully Yamaha will release something in the future that make me come back, and they have to do it before my new 2 stroke goes boom.

The bottom line is that if your main concern is going around a hairpin corner @ 60mph, the Nytro is not the sled for you. To me handling is something I don't care about as much as other things. That being said, it does bother me that Yamaha will not even attempt to improve the handling, fuel tank size, hyfax wear, etc.
