Nytro for my girlfriend

My girlfriend is looking at buying a new Nytro and has been busting my balls on & off for the better part of a month now. I heard that they don't handle all that great and that they're more of a ditch banger.

She rides trails but she doesn't ride overly aggressive. Now she is riding an Apex. Would this be a good fit for her? If so, what track & model more specifically.

Thanks.

Too many people buy the Nytro for the wrong reason's then complain that it doesn't handle like a trail sled when they really should be on a Vector or Apex. If she rides trails and not too aggressivly then the Nytro is definitely not for her. The Nytro takes alot of work to ride well and can get tiring at the end of the day.

I agree with mazz. You have to climb all over it to make fly to down the trail. It's so much different then what she is riding.

And that's definitely not her riding style at all, she's not that aggressive or an advanced rider.

The vector would be a good choice instead of a nytro.

I know, I've been telling her that but she says she doesn't like it, I'm sure she won't like the stiff suspension and twitchy Nytro anymore either though!

The viper is way more girl friendly...although when the wife rode the 2014 cats she rated the turbo #1, the new 600 cat #2 and the vipercat #3.
just to let you know...when I bought an RX-1ton earlier this year out of the blue and let her ride it....she said I could sell her vector....she loved the pull of the R-1....no wonder she liked the turbocat....LOL

I have a turbo cat and love it...........sometimes. lol

She doesn't like to ride it, you know why cause it darts too much with my shaper bars, I think the Nytro will be even worse! I don't know why she persists on getting a Nytro, oh well it might make me a nice other sled to ride. I'm sure I'd like it though.

Is the range really only 150 KMs at best? Maybe the thought of having to carry a pack sack with gas would changed her mind! lol

I heard girlfriends love staying with the sled while you and your buddy go get the trailer...yeah get her a Viper!!

Huh, I have no trailer she'll have to ride weather she likes it or not!

I have to join the my wife does not like the Nytro club. She is way happier with the 98 XTC, which is great for me - more money for mods!

I would have her demo a Vector. Side note, I drove an Apex LTX last weekend off trail and I don't see what all the fuss is about. Not a fun sled to drive at all and horrible to standup ride.

What does she think of the phazer? It's much more rider forward of course, like the Nytro, but is much more sit down trail friendly ride. My brothers wife loves her's, anyway just another idea.

How is the Phazer in the trail, is it trailable? How fast can it comfortably cruise? I'm thinking it's too small. Maybe I'll just let her do what she wants. I found a 13 Nytro for $8300, I could try to drop him to $7500 and sell her low mile Apex in the fall for $6500 - $6800 then it wouldn't be too bad. Then every time she would complain about her new Nytro I could tell her I told you so and you wouldn't listen to me. That there is priceless. lol

Have her read this thread.

Buy the Nytro for her to shut her up but keep the Apex as she will want it back before spring. Then you can say I told you so.

You can sell the Nytro in the spring if you don't want it.

I really don't know, maybe because I said it wasn't right for her? She's real pig headed you know. lol

I just asked her and she said it looks good and she likes it. :o| :o| :o|

I bought a 2013 Nytro XTX 1.75 for my wife and she likes the way it rides...She is not a very aggressive rider and likes to cruise at trail speeds!

Tell her to put a sock in it and get back in the kitchen and get me some food!!!!
