A question for all the MCX owners....have you ever had issues with the injectors from new?
Have issues from day one....injectors have been removed cleaned, blah, blah, blah, still same issue where they are staying fully open and floading the motor.
I have a 240 kit just installed, dealer telling me the injectors need to be replaced?
Any similar experiences?

Thanks,
Phil :o|

I've seen that happen once. He barely made it home on that sled.

Never had any issues myself. (180 kit uses stock injectors.)

When did you install the kit?
Last season MCX got a bad batch of injectors, so sadly you are not alone experienced it, if your kit is less then a year old you probably got one of the bad ones and the only solution is the replace them, if your dealer don't know what to do check with MCX distributor, Montana Yamaha in USA http://www.montanayamaha.com/ or Prince George Yamaha in Canada http://www.princegeorgeyamaha.com/turbokit_locator.htm

Kit was installed over the summer....looks like it's replacement time.

Thanks Very Much.......

Just experienced a stuck open injector myself on freshly installed (last years) kit. Made it out 2 miles before flooding the cylinder. What is MCX using this season for replacement?

if its not bosch injectors, change them out!!
Is programming of the efi box needed when going to the Bosch injectors?

yes a remap would be needed...it must be the season for bad injectors because now mine is going crazy rich like 10 at wot and stutters at 5lbs i think its injectors ill be testing them today...if you give mark a call at montana yamaha he will help you out if you bought the kit from him.

How can you test them to see if they are bad?

If injectors are stuck wide open simply remove the entire fuel rail with set of injectors and crack the ignition on for a second. You will see fuel squirt under pressure.
