I have a 2011 Nytro Mtx 153" with a turbo on it. I love the Sled but getting tired of crappy single ply tracks.

I wouldn't mind going a little shorter. What kind of skids are able to switch into the Mtx chassis without a bunch dinking around with mounts.

I currently have a maverick cut down to 1.5". hooks great, just doesn't last long. lubrication isn't an issue. I ride around northern wi and U.P.

I think a good majority of the tracks now are single ply. Maybe a 144 skid might bolt up but then you are going to need a shorter tunnel extension, different drivers. Have you tried a different track like the powder claw cut down. Probably have less bite but may last a bit longer. What are your conditions like that you destroy a track so easy. We put 1500 miles on our Maverick tracks before we switched to PC tracks and ran them full height on our trail system in Saskatchewan with no issues. I am actually switching back to the maverick because of better traction then the PC track. I have it still and no sense trying to sell it because of it's bad reputation that it got. I might as well use it up and then throw the PC back on but I might trim that one to 1.75" to see if it is any better. Cat called it a 2.25" track but both of the PC tracks we bought were factory tack offs with the cat sticker still on them so I know they were never cut and they only measured 2". 2.25" if I measured from inside the track. I doubt cutting to 1.75" will do anything but I have nothing to loose.

There is a member on here by the name saskattack ( might be mis spelled) that had a 08 mtx that he shortened. Maybe try sending him a PM to see what he did. He usually has some stuff for sale in the classifieds.
