Who has made the switch? Good choice or not? Cannot decide if I want to go from my 06 Apex to a Nytro either XTX or a leftover 08 RTX. Need help deciding. Mostly a trail rider but love to give it some when its safe.

Check out the Nytro FAQ section at the top of the Nytro section. I made the switch from a apex GT, but I have not driven my Nytro yet, so I am no help on this.............

I'll tell you this..... if you're a lazy rider so to speak, & like to just trail cruise for the most part, keep your Apex.

The FX Nytro demands a more agressive rider that moves around on the machine alot. Sure you can trail cruise it, but you won't be using the sled to it's full potential and you'll feel outa place on it if you're not an active rider.

true that thecatman, I have a apex Gt. I rode for 3 session and it was awesome on trail but I couldnt mess around off the trail that much in fear of it sinking like a wet sack of potato's and couldnt do any jumping cause she was to front end heavy and hurt like a son of a gun landing it. So i went with the the Nytro XTX and i can already till i am going to love it for agressive riding.

Catman hit it on the nose - Apex is the trail cruiser, Nytro is the kamakazi sled. I have both, I prefer the Apex to the Nytro because it rides great and is super fast when you want it. My son loves the Nytro as it takes off like a rocket and likes it best when it is aggressively driven. It is simply a matter of choice and what type of riding you do. One thing I will note is that when I ride the Nytro, I tend to get tired after awhile, the Apex I can go all day without a break. Hope this helps you make your decision!! Wig

How do you think the XTX will fare when playing on the jumps?
Will the XTX take the beating like the RTX?

well i guess ill have to find out the hard way, i have a feeling i might be switching to fox floats on the front but ill be able to find out on xmas day when i go for the first trip of the winter :-o

I hit a dirtbike jump we use in the summer. Its about five feet tall and nailed it about 35mph and it felt like landing on a pillow. This was after making some suspension adjustments from the medium stock settings. I feel no longer in fear of trail chatter and chop. Bring it on.

Made the switch with about 4 other buddys!! Never looking back! I used to love my 07 Apex RTX till i rode a Nytro!!! HAHAHAH

Apex or Nytro

I have read all the posts. Thanks, I think the Apex is a better choice for me. I want a high-performance trail sled and not really interested in jumping ditches. Almost all of my riding is groomed trails and the Nytro may not be best suited to just that. I do really love the looks of the 40th aniv. Nytro but looks isn't everything. May look for a 40th aniv. Apex, Thanks again.

Right on if the trails are flat and never get that 2 foot bumps, the Apex is sweet!

If you can ride during the week, you will have smooth flat trails and little traffic. The best there is. Still need to ride a FX Nytro to see what I am missing. From what I am reading the low end grunt beats the Apex. Apex is still no slouch and I bet across the lake it wins. Stock vs stock

Yea the low end is nuts I would say low end and mid range!!! With a S.C. the low end is just NUTS!! :) :)
