So I did my first oil change. Really cold this weekend and all the plastic push rivits broke when I removed the belly pan. There has got to be better options. What's wrong with screws and bolts yamaha? What are you guys using other than going to dealer for them. Any one using the roest mountaintech plate instead of yamahas. I've got 4 days to find them so I can bring back north next weekend and finish putting sled back together.

- something from 2019!
if you dont have the mountiantech plate your bellypan and engine are living on borrowed time. if you dont have time to buy one and need to replace the plastic push pins get some from the dealer or go to your local auto store and see if they have anything comparable. here are the stats you need to know http://www.fastenal.com/web/product...p12G!-1983236580!-1219021061?isPunchout=falseSo I did my first oil change. Think rock/stump/branch catching your oil filter. 30 seconds later its a $6000 repair.
Of the 4 nytro's I ride with, they all have it.

If you only trail ride I wouldn't worry about it.

Same here.
Those plastic push pins are annoying, I found a good supply from a local automotive parts store. I find you need to be patient and pry one side then the other to get them out cleanly.

The secret is to pry on both sides evenly. They will pop out like nothing then. I picked up some from Napa but they're not as strong as the oem ones. For the skid plate I use the oem ones from yamaha. everything else I use the ones I got from napa if they do break. It is plastic after all and eventually everything plastic does break.

I ordered my MountainTech plate last Monday morning. I called the owner, let him know I was in a time crunch, and he got it to me by that Thursday afternoon. Great product, very strong plate, and fairly easy install.
