So, how close will the consumer sled be to a snocross ready stock class racer?
Yammies new attempt ,and win @ snoX will no doubt inspire others to get back on Yammie and race in ameture and semi pro events.
What class is it in ..600?

I think the sled should be very competitive in cross-country racing, but with the 1.25" track, it will not be good for snocross. Those sno-cross special stock race sleds run 1.75" tracks - and you cannot change the track, it must come on the sled when built.

For ovals, the rules allow changing the track and front/rear suspension, so it should also be made to "just go left" pretty good

The 4 stroke 4 cylinder sleds run in the 600 class with the 600 2 strokes and have their hands full in oval racing. The 4 strokes have won though.

No actual final production HP and weight figures yet.

With a 130 hp motor and LIGHT weight you would think the 600 class but if it comes in heavy then it would be in the 500 class.

So 500 class mabey? For drags and ovals and mabey cross country.

I actually spoke with the yamaha guys at the demos about this.... he says not for next year, but "they are probably working" on something for the 09 season in a racer ready trim, i believe that the stock class next year is no longer 440 it will be 600 2 stroke and up to 1050 3 cylinder 4stroke w/no gear reduction, so the new nytro fits right in.... just need to wait for the yami head hanchos to come up with a racer package

we both mentioned how nice it would be to see more than just robbie and yugi out there on blue.

In Michigan, in Enduro & Sprint Racing ( M.I.R.A. ) the FX Nytro will race in the 600 class. If it handles like the phazer on a ovel track, your going to see a lot more win's out of YAMAHA. :yam: :4STroke:
