nytro venting and cooling ideas

I have seen guys make big vents in the hood, just under the headlight like the factory sleds. I ran into some trouble with my Nytro at the end of last winter, the trails where icey and she kept getting hot. I just wired my fan on a toggle switch so its on all the time, I haven't rode it yet to see how well it works tho.

did you try diluting your coolant first>>>????

you could try the air frame hood from sled solutions, as an option, its not as nice as the factory hood though

I have BR (tech vents and w rear heat exchanger

So, what's the deal here, does Yamaha make a rear heat exchanger kit for the Nytro XTX?

Thanks..

I'm going yo dilute the coolant and add the wetter water,b4 I drop more$ into a heat exchanger or hack my hood apart (as I see alot of peeps have). I tested the coolant the other day, its right off the scale, my tester only goes to -45 C. My cars coolant is good to -42, It starts in Timmins no problem, why Yamaha puts straight coolant in is beyond me, maybe they want the sled to be able to run on Baffin Island.
IMO try the $20 fix b4 you go crazy and drop alot of $.
I'm curios though to how many solved the over heat problems with just diluting and adding water wetter?
time will tell 4 me

I already cut down the coolant strength, didn't stop the overheating.

It won't stop... YOu need to add a cooler. I did the same thing on my Apex and it was the only thing that worked.
