nytro vs 800r

I agree, like they said in snowgoer magazine. It is really the driver and holeshot. I seen lesser sleds take bigger CC ones due to inexperience. What was hurting my sled is XTX running 1.25 ripsaw. If I was running 1.75 might have been different. bottom line it is all fun to pull the throttle!

No offense but I would take anything SnowGoer says with a grain of salt.

Do it every weekend. 09 is an animal & not even close. 08 is close if you race a weak one.

does this include the xtx aswell?
I am sure its every Nytro,But I guess its the tuner behind the sled. I have seen Nytros beat Xps and I seen them get beat!

Turk,

Just to clarify, you're saying an 09' XP 800R is that much better than an 08 XP 800R ? Personally, I haven't lined up with either of the two , but I wouldn't mind trying. I guess if I can hang with a well tuned Mach Z till 1000 feet, I shouldn't have to worry any more about an XP. Find out soon enough ;)!

I know a guy that has both..... a 09 XP800 and a 08 Nytro with a Hauck Exhaust, clutching etc. and he claims his 08 Nytro now beats his stock 09 XP with the new exhaust.........but it is very loud.

08 nytro shorty 08 xp 800 08 f1000 all studed all bone stock. nytro kills the 800 out of the hole, two sleds on 1000. 200 foot the 1000 is going by the 800 is coming. 500 ft the 1000 is five sleds ahead, 800 is half a sled behind. 800 foot im wating gas there gone. my sled will go 101mph by the speedo on the hard pack thats it. xp will go 115 by the speedo and the f cat its got leggs that dont quit about 125 mph by the speedo

Am snow shootout 1/4 mile nytro 13.793 @ 88.75mph (135hp), 800r 13.078 @ 93.16mph (155hp) same day,track,studs,rider ect. Apex 13.112 @ 91.27 (146hp)

I believe this is the shootout in Old Forge. I go to this every year. Last year the Apex beat the 800r, this year the 800r won. I see from your posts you really like hp number. I always see Apex numbers closer to 150. 800r numbers are all across the board, anywhere from 138 to 155 very optimistically).

Also, keep in mind this is a 1/4 mile track. Nytro's don't fare well in that long of a distance. The Nytro pulls the 800r out of the hole pretty well though.

330ft. nytro 5.396, 800r 5.166. 660 nytro 8.447 @ 75.5mph, 800r 8.032 @81.08. Just quoteing the results, nice try though. I dont own either of these sleds but when we race its always further, 1/4 mile is not that far.

I happen to own both, a 08 xp shorty and a 08 FX Nytro.. Not even close!!! Nytro might stay with it for a short while (maybe 60), then bye bye baby...........Nytro is a very nice fun sled for the trail, but a lake racer it is not... My opinion.........

I agree,MOST times I see it right with it until 60 maybe even beating it until then. But the 800 takes it over,But then again there is times where I seen Nytros run right with 800r the WHOLE race and beating it as well
