What kind of heat tape works good and doesn't fall off? Here is the MTN Addiction tank, I only used one of the tanks and it worked great this past season. I put some heat shield tape on the tank just in case, but it never was needed this winter. Also used an exhaust turnout.

One of the tanks warped a bit (tape came off) because my son put the pin in the old track hole (I hadn't told him there were two holes) and the tank moved to the right into the exhaust wash...I had put Jigaloo on it that week end so the track rack was super slippery and it was a warm day. With the pin in the new hole I drilled this wouldn't of happened. The only damage to the tank was the plastic warped a bit from heat but nothing went kaboom lol.

Hey, just wondering if my set up is exactly like yours? Just wanna make sure I don't need to worry too much about damaging anything back there. One of the tanks warped a bit (tape came off) because my son put the pin in the old track hole (I hadn't told him there were two holes) and the tank moved to the right into the exhaust wash...I had put Jigaloo on it that week end so the track rack was super slippery and it was a warm day. I would drill a new hole for the pin closer to the tank to prevent it from sliding into the exhaust wash...you could probably go in close to an inch.

Alright. Isn't it already in the exhaust wash anyway? Does that inch really make much difference?I would drill a new hole for the pin closer to the tank to prevent it from sliding into the exhaust wash...you could probably go in close to an inch.

Do the end of your rails go right to the left edge of the sled like mine do? Or does yours go over the edge?I would drill a new hole for the pin closer to the tank to prevent it from sliding into the exhaust wash...you could probably go in close to an inch.
