I have a 2009 Nytro XTX with the 1.75" Backcountry Track. After riding for two seasons, I have decided I need more track. I am considering a 162" Powerclaw or for $$$ reasons a 159" Polaris Series IV. With either track I am going to need new drivers and rails / rail extensions. I am thinking extro's and Ice Age rails/stock suspension. What are your thoughts? What am I missing? I am running 18/39 gearing. I am guessing I will need some clutch pieces as well. Should I start with factory MTX clutching?

First things first, figure out which track you are going to use, and then that will dictate what drivers you need to run, as well as what gearing, clutching.. etc

Is anybody using the 159" Polaris Series IV? I know the powerclaw works well. I am wondering how much I would be leaving on the table with the 4" shorter Polaris track.

I had the Series IV on my MM and it worked well, for a 160hp 500lb machine. I felt the lugs were a little on the soft side but it still got me up high! Idk how well it would work compared to a Powerclaw or CE...

What you need is an MTX.
