Maybe you folks can help me understand why the new Viper doesn't seem to pull as hard as a stock Nytro.I owned the Nytro since new and rode a well broken in Viper XTX.It just doesn't seem to have the same bottom end grunt.Love the rest of the sled!

I don't know, cause I have a turbo, but I have heard that the Nytro has a better chassis and does not have the flex that the pro cross has. So the pro cross would be giving up a little because it flexes a little more which takes away hp to the track. Now I don't know which one would win a drag race. Only way to find that out is do it. Cause you could hear five different answers. If you did it yourself you would know for a fact which one is faster.

True.I think with some clutch tweaking his sled should act like a Nytro.I think I read the ECU and calibration are Cat as well.Either way...dropping a deposit on a '15.

Right on! You will like the ride over the Nytro though. I had a XTX Nytro and I loved it! But now that I have the LTX SE It is way better! I didn't want the XTX because it is non coupled. So I got the LTX and put a 1.6 lug track and no I got the best of both worlds!
Some clutching is alway a good thing(if it done right) and will help the take off!

See the "CLUTCHING ANSWERS" post. After putting on 8DN my Viper really woke up. With stock belt and weights I saw what you did. (had to change to 8FS weights as I ride at 10k)

Its down in hp... Its not the chassis. The Nytro in stock form is 135-138... The Viper is 130 at best. I believe it has to do with the exhaust as that motor was built around the straight exit exhaust.

Wrong, dyno tests have Viper at 137hp. The diff is the clutch, put on 8DN and correct weights and Viper blows Nytro away....I know I did it.

I came from a 09 Nytro XTX and the Pro-Cross Chassis is 10 times better.I don't know, cause I have a turbo, but I have heard that the Nytro has a better chassis and does not have the flex that the pro cross has. .
It's lighter and hooks up better.
