- Bit of a weird one here...
- My GPS said that I went 237kms (confirmed by a buddies GPS) but my Odometer says that I went 202kms??
- Now I could understand if it was the other way around due to spin and such, but what could be causing this anomaly?
- All help is greatly appreciated!

mine does that from time to time. next time you go set your gps to leave breadcrumbs, sometimes the satellites are way off and then when they line up it accounts for that mileage adding a bit to your travel

If it was mine, I'd chalk it up to calibration margin of error. What did your buddies odo read? Ride next to him for a stretch and you hold 70 and see what he's at. I dont think these instruments are very accurate from new. The only hardware that may be involved is the ring and sensor under the secondary.

- My buddies odo is bang onto what his gps says.
- It's a Poo though.
- I'm gonna be with a Yammy tomorrow, so I'll try it again.
- If the ring and sensor are bad, is it an easy fix?

ring and sensor
Secondary comes off with one bolt, Ring also one bolt, sensor two. But I'm not sure where the plug is or how long the pig tail is.
Or if replacing either will fix you for sure to be honest.
If it were mine, I'd ignore it unless it were actually broken.
I would take a look at that bearing though. They seem to go around 4 or 5000 miles. I suppose if it's failing it may effect your speedo.
If you loose speedo entirely, that bearing is usually the culprit in my experience.

before you start tearing into your sled im telling you to test your gps. go drive a mile or two in a straight line and leave breadcrumbs and then look. my garmin once in awhile on a clear day will say im almost a 1/4 mile away from where im actually standing and once the satellites align better it corrects itself. you might think questioning gps is absurd but its not accurate 100% of the time

- My GPS is bang on to my buddies GPS, and his odo is the same as his GPS.
- Mine is the one out of whack.
