IASledder said:If you read the latest AmSnow, pg 9, they did a test and the speedo was off at top and midrange, ie @ 50 sled radar was 44, 117 sled radar was 104.7
It is a geometric progression to top-end on the speedo.
In our case, 129 on the speedo was actually reading 115.5 on the GPS and radar gun. (ATTAK with a 24 gear vice 23)
The correct number these speedos are off on the top end is closer to: 12.3-13.5 MPH based on how fast you are traveling in the given snow or ice conditions. All variables.
We have duplicated the same result on numerous occasions on GPS and radar gun, using two different machines.

all i can say is with 2 teeth ground off,and when i have GPS mounted infront of me,the speedo is now EXACT same as GPS from start to approx 110....then for some reason over 110 the speedo starts to read a hair low...and at 118 on my gps my speedo said 116mph.
so,in conclusion....2 teeth is what you need to do,not 1 tooth not 3 teeth..2 TEETH,LOL.
personally,i like having low ODO..makes for better resale.
