I picked up a 2011 Nytro early in the summer and now that winter is on its way I am looking about adding some stuff to the sled (assuming we finally have a good winter
)
The first and foremost thing I am going to add is an OFT Tether/ROV and here is why I am posting this topic. I have run out of room on the bars to mount the tether. I have done hrs of searching on here reading the multiple post about this product but am looking for people to post pics of their tethers and how they have them mounted to give me ideas on how I can mount mine.
Between the mountain strap and handguards the room is running thin, mainly because I have a handlebar bag that has replaced the center plastic cover, this way I can carry some small extras like a pair of sunglasses, hat, and thin dry gloves along with anything else i may squeeze in there. We do mostly short day trips while riding and I don't usually need to carry much extra but as we all know the Nytro has no storage like the older sleds (in the seats which is all I ever needed) so the handlebar bag is a must for me. I don't have a relocator yet (unsure until after riding if I will want one) as it already has a 2in rise and tipped up so the bars feel comfortable in the shop w/ a comfortable range of motion.
I'm not a big fan of drilling holes in stuff to mount things so I am considering fabricating a plate that mounts under the riser and comes up to the side of the riser but would like to squeeze the tether on the bars if at all possible. I have read a million posts on the tether but what I cannot seem to find much of is pictures of how people have mounted theirs and I feel just seeing some different options will help me immensely in deciding how to do mine.
I appreciate all the help and ideas

If your thinking about the relocator now, go for it! Great mod and makes the sled so much comfortable. I'm 6'3" and it's perfect for standing and whIle sitting

Charger: That's a great idea I hadn't considered and I may have to look more into that when my tether arrives. Thanks
Sorenson: It's definitely in consideration but since the budget is tight it may not be in the picture this year unless once snow flies I decide I can't live without it (a very good possibility lol). First I have to take care of the maintenance costs on the sleds as they both need new wear bars this season and I can't seem to talk my self out of getting a GoPro camera to add to my fun in filming my hunts as well as my rides.
college tuition costs ruin all the fun. Guess I just gotta be patient and piece it all together over time. Everyone is right modding this sled is addicting and never seems to end :exc:
Keep the ideas coming

Well I haven't actually ordered it yet as I have heard that they seem kinda swamped and behind but with all the great reviews I have heard obout them and everyone that uses their tethers I am for sure gunna get one, just kinda setting a money aside here and there till i'm ready. Probably gunna try to order it within the next two weeks
hearnoevil: I like where yours is but my risers are a lil different so I'm not sure if that will work but I am leaning towards something similar based on all the pics i have been able to find.
I tell you this is one of the best sites around, everyone is always so helpful with answers and ideas

Thanks for that, I actually just installed mine the other night and was getting ready to post on here today. I opted not to get the relocator yet as I have a 2" powermadd riser block and with the xtx bars if feels good right now, just need to get trail time to confirm. As for the location I mounted mine I intended to put it as you shown above the gas cap but without the relocater it wouldn't fit well, instead i did the same as I believe it was Revster who posted it and bolted it directly on the side of the riser facing me although instead of using new bolts and nuts i just put the bottom side of the clamp inside the riser and screwed it down, the stock screws were long enough. It is very study and out of the way of everything, couldn't be happier with it. Thanks again for all the ideas.
