The wires are broke at the shock reservoir. So the wires broke between the pigtail connection and the actual shock. So does that mean a replacement shock or a shock rebuild or what?

Is there enough wire exposed to splice back together?
If not I am sure that Bruce at Pioneer performance can replace just the solenoid without having to replace the entire shock. While you are at it you may want to have him do a rebuild / re-valve if you haven't done that yet.

It may be spliceable. Or solder-able. If i remove shock whats the easiest way to do it without removing the skid? Can i just unbolt the front and rear shock bolts and remove the entire shock? If so is it best to loosen the track and ot the transfer rod? Should i raise the rear of sled or put a block under the track etc? I can remove skid if need be but id rather not if possible.

Can leave skid in and just unbolt the shock. The way I do it is I put the rear bumper up on a jack-stand or sawhorse. Remove the two 10mm nut/bolts from the bottom limiter strap, so suspension can hang down fully. I then remove the 14mm nuts from each of the shock bolts. Then I put a jack under the track near rear idlers and slowly start to raise it up. Once the suspension is neutral (i.e, not compressed nor extended) the shock mounting bolts will slide right out.
As far as the solenoid if you did have to replace it because the wires are too short.....here is a document on how to do it yourself. Pretty easy to so. If I remember correctly, the new solenoid is about $200...so definitely worth trying to repair it if you can. Keep in mind (as per the attached memo, you have to break the cover off the solenoid to remove it, not like you can open it up, repair it and put it back together if you found the wires ripped out of the solenoid or if they were too short for repair.

As far as new solenoid, pop cover off old solenoid, remove circlip/retaining ring, remove old solenoid, than install new solenoid. yes, new solenoid has a 3" pigtail attached and will plug into sub-lead harness.
Might want to contact TY member bjowett to see if he can get you the solenoid, possibly cheaper. Might be worth a shot

i was able to get this out today. buddy is a very good wire solderer. does a lot of musical electronic soldering. he skinned back the wires, added 1' of new wire, soldered everything up real nice. we then taped all the new joints and then taped and heat sealed the total wire. hopefully it will work and will have saved $170 on a new solenoid.

Excellent! Let us know if it works. Make sure that you check your ECS fuse in case you blew it when the wires were damaged.

Will do, ill have to reference back in this post to make sure i know which fuse to check. I told my buddy he could do a lot of these at $50 bucks a piece plus shipping. Lol. Win win for everyone involved. Im gona attach and zip tie and tape the hell out of everything when inteinstall it. Weather not looking good in the midwest. Hope were not done for the season.

Ok sounds good. Im getting new bolts/nuts from dealer friday then Im gona put it all back together this weekend and make sure everything works! Thank you.

I wold hook it up and try it before placing it all back in. You will know if it works if you can cycle from heated grips to suspension adjust mode.
