i was thinking of installing an 07 ohlins ec rear shock in my 06 apex er will the controls work on my display or do i have to buy an aftermarket display ????? hopefully its just a plug in and it works

There is a plug in down by the brake side, it plugs in and voila your hot. I have a EC shock I may be willing to part with or trade you for your ER shock and some money. I dont run the mono anymore but when I go to sell the sled I will put it back in and keep my ZX2 so I would like to keep a shock in it.

Mine has the entire harness you need to run it up through the foot well into that plug I mentioned earlier.

I put an electric shock in my attak, works great, took everyones advice and over ziptied the wires so the frozen snow and ice would not rip it apart.

This is key, whatever looks like it would work, go four times as much.

This picture is stolen from the manual for Ohlins aftermarket shock.
I think the cable routing is slightly different compared to OEM.
Still, you might want to listen to everybodys advice and use couple of more tie-wraps...

Where can I get the plug for the wire that runs from the dash down to the solenoid?

Well as usual, I got a in touch with Travis at Barn of Parts and he had what I needed.
