It also looks like your studs are hitting your new HX? Have you addressed that yet or still working on it?
- That's why the 2nd piece of aluminum was welded on. I only hit once, but that was once too many.
- Floyd did it for me.[/quote]
Wondered if that was added after the fact?
Have you tried it out yet?

- Yeah, I ran the Ganny when I got it back before heading to North Bay.
- I took right back up to him, and he welded the 2nd piece on.
- 1400kms up in NB, and no issues.

Good to hear

Looking forward to trying mine out this year, as well as my new Ulmer clutch kit!

Happy Thanksgiving by the way!

Irv I was thinking the same thing about the front shocks but I will take it out for a ride before I get them rebuilt.I don't ditch bang that much. The front shocks on my other 2 Apex Gt's are fine with lots of adjustment still in them and one has over 20,000km on it.I hope the Ohlins are as durable. Are you putting your rig in the show and shine ?
Good to know, thanks![]()
And no show for me this year HX, once the fall comes I am pretty busy running my son around to various hockey arenas all over the place, plus I have a ton of work I want to get done to my son's XLT plus some trailer mtce that needs to be done.
I will be there briefly to have a look around and to buy my permits but that's about it.
What about you, you entering your 40th?
No I won't be entering . I spend most of my time keeping the four sleds maintained so that I can run around with my kids and girlfriend to go sledding all over Ontario. My kids are 33&30, I guess that's what dads do.LOL There was a a couple of Yamaha's 40th at the PPSC last season was one yours? Your skid looks great did Dave do the powder coating ? On my sleds the studs hit on the piece of metal that is about a foot in front of the HX.On the apex with over 20000km it has beaten it bad.

No, one was Monte's and the other one was Ragdoll's.
I never had my skid powder coated as I didn't have time to completely disassemble it so I just cleaned it up, sanded it and repainted with some Tremclad Silver and some Clear.
It turned fairly decent imo but, due to crappy conditions the last couple of winters, it is starting to show some chips/rust in a few places

Did you hear that Öhlins don't will produce a new ATV and sled shocks anymore. Hopefully they will continuing produce spare parts for those shocks...
