Ohlins Shock Trouble

Hey all, I can not get the search to work for this topic, can someone provide a link please? Any help appreciated.

I have had some trouble with my Ohlins EC on my Attak, it has failed twice this season after 3500 miles of good performance last season. It seems to loose all rebound dampning, and the adjuster will just spin with no "click", and once this happens the compression dampening also seems to fail.

I know a few friends who replaced them under warranty last season, but I do not have this option.

Looking for some info on repair, as the recent recharge only lasted about 1000 miles before it failed again.

IMO shocks should be rebuilt every 1000 miles or every year. they might hold charge after that but the oil breaks down after about a 1000 miles. ohlins are better about it then the KYBs but should still be done. pionier performance or carver perfomance are 2 big names on yamaha shock rebuilding. something for u to look into. they are in the states tho

Does anyone know what the main reason for the replacement of the alot of 06 GT shocks was?

Seal stack doesn't hold up well. I have Bruce at Pioneer do mine annually off season 90. well spent, quick turnaround.
