Not another one of these threads. LMAO....
If you use the search option, you will be reading for weeks. There are sooo many opinions, name brands used, debates, etc. on this very topic.

The best is NEVER the cheapest. You spend your good money buying a great sled, why not spend some of that money and get the best protection for it. What would you be saving by using chaep oil and filters. $15??

Never go for the cheapest; buy the least expensive quality product.

Just a quick note on this, I see Yamaha has a new full synthetic oil for 2009 in the product catalog. The semi synthetic is 0w30 and the full synthetic is 0w40. I'll be using Mobil 1 0w40 in both my sleds this year. Also at Advance Auto you can get 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 filter for $29.88 until November 1st

Here we go again! You're going to hear every opinion from $14 per quart racing synthetics to guys that will buy the cheapest oil to save 11 cents per quart. Some guys are going to get mad & others are going to start quoting " oil friction analysis " stuff & arguments on W this & W that. Actually; i have fun watching those arguments... soooo.... thanks. Now sit back & take it all in...

Don't open THAT can of worms!!!!!!
And I was not critisizing just stating that one should never run the cheapest. You can use the less expensive of the best, if you wish. I would have recommended a paticular brand of oil, but since I do not pay for advertising on this site I cannot mention it, But feel free to ask sleddheadd about what brand of oil to use.
Feel free to use whatever you choose, but keep in mind- All filters are NOT created equal. feel free to do a search on the sublect.

You never specified a Yamaha Filter. Your post appears to be asking for the cheapest oil and filter and where to buy.
What's everyone using for oil you ask, if you would have used the search option, like the site rules ask you to do, you would have seen countless threads on the subject.
We do help each other out here. It's the basis of the site. We are just having a little fun with a thread topic that usually will turn bad fast.
