Just wondering what oil people are using in Apex’s. Manual says 0-30 but a lot of people are running 0W-40. I also have four NGK Cr9E spark plugs but the sled calls for CR9EB can I use just the CR9E

I run Mobil 1 0W40 in all my Yamaha 4 strokes. Convenient because I can find it almost at any store...
The difference between the NGK CR9E and EB is the terminal end that the coil attaches to. The CR9E has a threaded terminal while the "B" has the solid terminal "Bullet" tip that the Apex coils use.

Oh boy not those 2 questions. This will turn into another 6 page thread. LOL
I use 0-30 now, but have used 0-40 no problems.
I use stock plugs, but have used the cr10 dual electrode ones.
Do a search those questions have been asked a lot.

Depends on how many miles you put on and how many cold starts it sees and how clean the oil looks.
The oil gets dirty / contaminated from combustion gases during startup and warm up, from blow-by while everything is still expanding to size and sealing. Motorcycles go 1000's of miles between oil changes, but they also don't start in deep cold like our sleds do. Personal preference, I guess. I change the oil & filter on my Turbo Apex every season but it doesn't see alot of miles. I changed the oil & filter in my Viper the beginning of last season and it was still looking super clean this season so I skipped changing both.
