Does Yamaha make an oil filter wrench to fit the Apex models. Part no. and price? Or does anyone know what size filter wrench to use from an automotive store. 65mm? I am looking for the cup type that can be used with a ratchet.

Yamaha doesn't directly make an oil filter wrench for them but the tool company that makes Yamaha's special tools does. We stock them and sell them for $11.95. They make two styles - one to fit the RX/Apex series sleds that use the 5GH style oil filters and one to fit the RS/Phazer sleds that use the 5DM style filters. One nice thing about these filter wrenchs is that they can be used be inserting a ratchet into them or turned with a wrench as they have a nut welded to the end of them (this is especially usefull on the RX/Apex sleds as when you loosen the filter the wrench would normally pinch the ratchet tight to the frame tube in front of the filter). Give me a call if you need one. Thanks

PS - Both those filters styles are also commonly used on alot of different Yamaha products so the filter wrenchs will also work on most Yamaha ATV's, Side x Sides, Motorcycles, and Watercraft that use spin on style oil filters.
