Well had a little accident on the weekend, was out boondocking in the powder and ended up rolling the sled on it's left side. Got it flipped back on it's skis after a couple minutes. The sled started up no problem, rode the hole next day with no issues, got the sled back to the trailer to load up and noticed oil coming out on the left side where the tie rod goes through the boot. Also noticed a bit of oil in the belly pan area. I would assume it's coming out of the airbox after I rolled it on it's side. But I thought I read that the oil only drains into the airbox when it's rolled on the right side? Could any damage be done with oil being in the airbox like that?

Your fine. Just make sure you're oil level is ok. I have done that also a few times myself. The first time mine spilled oil and when I checked it didn't need any. So my point is that it don't take much to make a mess and look worse then it really is.

X2 3 times to the right for me. Cant seem to ever roll it on left. Is weird. Was hoping to the left wouldnt do anything but guess it doesnt matter. You have it on its side or all the way over?

you might want to buy the air/oil drain kit from MPI even if you don't have a turbo. it will still work on non turbo sleds and helps eliminate this issue.

Be sure to clean it out in the spring or when you have time. There likely is a foam filter in the air box that gets oil soaked so the engine is breathing-in skunky air.

No foam. Is little holes in bottom of box to drain it. Yes all over everything.

Is it a big deal to get it cleaned out of there right away? I did ride 120 miles before I noticed it. (This was on my 4 day back pack trip). Now I'm home and we have enough snow to ride but I'm so busy with work there will only be time to rip the sled and airbox apart and clean it all up now or go ride. The sled will also need to make another trip to the dealer, the gas gauge doesn't work anymore and there is a super loose rivot in the tunnel I can move it up and down and spin it all around. Pretty disappointing I was trying to keep tunnel looking good. I have never seen a rivot go loose like this before and the sled only has 1300 miles on it.

No not a big deal. Most has probably drained out of your bellypan already. Sorry to hear about your other issues. Is it the rivet at back of running board that holds support in? Guage will be wire at sending unit.

Alright thanks, I will just leave it for now and clean it up once our snow melts. My loose rivot is right on the side rail where the foot section attaches to that round section of the tunnel.

Would it be bad for the engine if a little oil goes through them intake boots I pulled the side panels off and could see some oil ran out of the back of the airbox, where the top and bottom section split. Doesn't look like there's to much oil in the belly pan of the sled, doesn't seem like to much leaked out. The sled wasn't totally flipped over, just laying completely on the left side haha! I'm just glad there was no damage!

Nah as long as the oil didnt foul plug your good to go as long as oil is up to full again.

Pick it up with your skid steer, pressure wash it with a 5000psi washer when in the air grease it up. That's what I do.
