I tried searching but found nothing on an issue I have with my 09 RTX.....sled has about 3500 miles on it. I noticed a few drops of oil on the garage floor in the mornings recently. When I went to do an oil change yesterday it was obvious that the lower seal between the oil pan and the engine cases was weeping. I checked the oil pan bolts and found them to be quite loose. Anyone else have any problems with oil pan bolts loostening? Any suggestions? Maybe romove and reinstall with some blue locktite applied??
Thanks for any input.

Ya I noticed a lot of mine were loose to! Could turn them all pretty much a quarter turn! Some of them I couldn't get at since the subframe is in the way!
Thanks
Yup, about a 1/4 turn each. I only did the rear ones real quick with a t-handle more or less to see how loose they were. Goin to try to get the rest tonight. It is tight but it looked like I could get them all with a regular allen wrench. The correct torque is 7.2 ft lbs aparently. Anyone have any thoughts on a dab of blue loctite as a preventative measure? Thanks in advance.

Mine were loose on my 08 also. I retorqued them, but I still have an oil leak. I think my gasket is toast. With the gusset kit in it I will need to pull the subframe to change the gasket.
Gasket
Hopefully mine hasn't trashed the gasket. I doubt you could change the gasket even without the gusset kit but I don't know for sure. Pretty tight down there.

That's funny I was about to make a post too
Found a random bolt on skid plate when doing oil change. Two of the oil pan bolts are missing. I can't believe the gasket didn't fail. Going to tighten all of them. Looks pretty tight to get the front ones.

Pretty common
I talked to Allen Ulmer and Aaron Excell. They have seen this issue with several Nytro's.....well, several meaning 15-20. Aaron said he thinks the gasket shrinks a little. Allen recommended a little blue locktite and torque them back up to 8 ft lbs. The rear ones are easy. The front ones are extremely difficult. I was unable to get my torque wrench on the front ones. I had to cut off about a 3/8 section of an allen and glue it in a 5mm 1/4 inch drive socket. After removing the sway bar (pain the the neck) and unhooking the tie rods to move them out of the way I was able to get every one. This was a real pain.....took me about 3 hours total. But I got every single one
. When doing your next oil change you might want to check these bolts. If anyone is doing the front sub frame it would be wise to blue locktite and torque every bolt while they are accessable.
