got about 3 tanks of fuel burned and noticed it took a little oil..

also noticed that the oil pan Allen bolts were not screwed too tight so i did the ones i could reach.. not sure if the leak comes from there..

oil went down about 1/4 of an inch on dip stick.

last season it would take oil too.. not sure why though.. is it normal for these engines to burned a little oil ?

i would assume yeas since they run al day at high RPM..

what says you. ?

Mine doesn't use any. I change once a season. Been ranging from 1,000-1,800 Kms per year. Are you actually seeing oil leaking?

Well juste noticed there is a small puddle beneath the oil pan..

and the oil sump is wet from oil... anybody got an idea where that would come from ??

The oil check on these engines is fickle. Gotta check them after its been run and up to temp, and the system has been circulating. Overfilling they will puke oil back into the air box and it will drip out on your floor. Been there, as many of us have. Good luck. MS

You might want to pull your belly pan these machines are known to wear a hole into the filter from a the plastic webbing on the belly pan. Especially if you use an afetermarket filter.

juste checked... the oil filter looks ok..

i'm making it idle to a good temperature then checking the oil after a half an hour in a heated garage....
