Oil pressure light

Anyone know if the oil pressure light should light up when key is on engine not running? Does the oil pressure stay locked in . In owners manual after a oil change it says it should.

I would not think it would have any pressure once the motor is shut off.

Yes , when you turn on the key light will come on , and after the engine is running and you turn it off the oil light will come on then too

True, but that's not saying that the oil is low or low oil pressure, it just comes on. For no reason.

On cars, it lights up to tell you it works when you turn the key to accessory.

It comes on and off very quick doesn't stay on just the temp light does till engine is warm then goes out
